Whether you’ve played before, or are completely new to handball, don’t worry – everyone is welcome! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us, but here’s a couple of FAQs that might be useful…

Can I come by myself/bring friends?
You can bring as many friends as you like, or come alone if you wish! Training sessions are run in large groups.

What should I wear?
Indoor sports clothing is recommended. Shorts and a t-shirt are ideal, with regular trainers to run in (indoor court shoes with grip are best if you have them).

What should I bring?
We recommend that you bring a bottle of water.

I want to come, but can’t make that date. Are there any other opportunities to join in?
Of course! – our training starts in September, and there’ll be sessions for both beginners and more experienced players. Just get in touch!

Is there parking available?
Parking is available at both The Energy Box and Burnage Academy for Boys on site and it is free of charge.

If you’re interested in our under 16 training, please stay tuned as our youth sessions will be starting again soon.
If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at manchesterhandball@gmail.com

We look forward to seeing you!

21-08-2016 - I AM Team GB Handball Taster!

I AM Team GB!

Got the handball bug after watching the Olympics, or just fancy taking part in a new sport? Either way, we’ve got good news for you!

Saturday 27th August is I Am Team GB day, so to celebrate, we’re running a FREE open handball session at Sugden Sports Centre, Manchester, 12:30-2:30pm.

Whether you’ve played before, or are completely new to handball, don’t worry – everyone is welcome! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us, but here’s a couple of FAQs that might be useful…

Can I come by myself/bring friends?

The session will involve everyone playing in mixed teams, so either is completely fine. Nobody will be left alone, we’re a friendly bunch!

What should I wear?

Indoor sports clothing is recommended. Shorts and a t-shirt are ideal, with regular trainers to run in (indoor court shoes with grip are best if you have them).

What should I bring?

As an indoor sport, handball can get quite warm in summer, so a water bottle is recommended!

I want to come, but can’t make that date. Are there any other opportunities to join in?

Of course! – our training starts in September, and there’ll be sessions for both beginners and more experienced players. Just get in touch!
