In joining the club, members must appreciate and support the following statements:
1) - Every player joins the club for the very same reason: To have fun!
2) - Manchester Handball Club is home to players:
- a) of many cultural and ethnic background (European, African, Asian...)
- b) of every sporting ability (beginners to highly experienced)
- c) of different availability (occasional attendance to regular)
3) - Manchester Handball Club is run by players for the players
It is thus expected from everyone to reach a common platform where respect, understanding and cooperation are standard.
To achieve this, it is essential to:
- - Display a positive attitude at all times, be open and friendly towards each other
- - Communicate in the best possible manner
- - Be supportive of one another
- - Help each other in a constructive manner
- - Participate in training and competition with the best frame of mind irrespective of external pressure(s)
- - Understand that any negative attitude (e.g. aggression whether verbal or physical) is not productive and will only damage the team’s morale, performance and image.
Club members must:
- - Adhere to Fair Play in all circumstances
- - Respect Team mates
- - Respect Opponents
- - Respect Referees and Table officials
- - Engage actively with the development of the club
In such a competitive environment, every club member must understand his/her role in the development of the sport which can only be achieved if:
- - Every player feels at home at Manchester Handball Club, irrespective of individual expectations and mindset
- - The group representing Manchester in training and competition always displays the best possible attitude based on sincere and strong bonds between players
- - The best image of the club is given at all times
- - Every player understands he/she is an ambassador of Manchester Handball Club
It is the responsibility of every member to ensure the club charter is respected by all.
